Book review: Cuckoo by Sophie Draper. I do love a dark story about an old spooky house and ancient family secrets coming to light. The ’Cuckoo’ has an extra layer of haunting fairy tales woven into the narrative, which I thought was genius and added to the creepiness. A great read with an unpredictable ending.

The Fire Child is another brilliant psychological thriller (I also loved The Ice Twins!) by S.K. Tremayne. I really liked the eerie surrounding of the Cornwall mines and the storytelling and characters are interesting and compelling.

THE IMAGE OF YOU by Adele Parks. This is a compelling story that kept me hooked from start to finish. I didn't love is as much as 'A stranger in my home', but it is still a very entertaining read that I can recommend to anyone who likes a thriller with a twist.

Book review of The Daughter. "This is a quick, easy read, with enough suspense that it's hard to stop reading once you get started. Recommended for readers looking for some small-town Nordic Noir that's a bit different, or anyone wanting to read something set in Finland."

Book review: Behind Closed Doors by B A Paris. Unique, compelling and disturbing. This is a chilling thriller about an abusive husband and the lengths he is prepared to go to in order to control his wife. I was completely absorbed in Grace's struggle to escape Jack. Unputdownable!
